Text Box: Welcome to Art Irvine’s site of the

Text Box: You've come to a web site of and for people that are interested in the restoration of the New Testament to the New Testament churches. We seek the truth from the only God and from the only reliable source of the truth from Him , the Bible. We welcome all who are interested to read and respond to the contents within this web site. Some believe the whole Bible as it is written. Most who do believe, do not believe it without adding to or subtracting from the Bible causing division in the ranks of "so called" Christianity. Bear with me as I ask you some questions that should make a difference in your opinion of your worship: Does the preacher, where you worship, teach the whole Bible without mixing in other documents that seem just as important as the Bible? Does he heavily quote from other sources such as creeds or catechisms? Do any of the teachers, where you attend, try to say that there is more than one way to interpret the Bible or Bible passages? Do you actually know what the whole doctrine (teaching) is, in the place where you attend? Do you know if the leaders of the church you belong or attend believe the Bible the way it was written? Does the Bible seem confusing to you and full of dark sayings? Does the preacher need to make long drawn out explanations of Bible passages and the passages are still confusing to you or their explanation not quite match what the passage actually says? Does the church where you attend play more music and preach less or not at all? "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God," Romans 10:17. Does the place where you attend say they are lifting up Jesus Christ but do not quote much, if any, from His word? Will the leaders stand and defend the word of God as they preach? Do they call you or anyone a "troublemaker" for asking pointed questions about Biblical matters that concern you? Are the leaders where you worship more interested in being true to their denomination and not so concerned about being true to the Bible? Has anyone in the leadership of the place you worship told you that there is no set way to be baptized? Do they explain away the true meaning of baptism being immersion? Do the leaders and teachers try to tell you that baptism is not important for salvation? These questions are not keyed to an answer. I expect you to answer them to yourself, honestly. When you reach a conclusion or if you are still confused contact me, by e-mail or phone, with your questions or answers to these questions. Many now are trying to disprove the virgin birth and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, among other things. They, somehow, find arguments to substantiate (not very well in my estimation) these doctrines. Their reasoning has become warped because of the sin in their lives. No matter how insignificant the sin may seem to us they feel guilty because they know they are guilty. If they can, somehow, explain away the Bible teaching, the sin becomes less ominous to them because God is not so powerful in their mind. They have taken away from the word of God significant meaning because of their warped reasoning. It is now less threatening to them. That is only part of the reason for the denominational divides, though. Denominations have occurred because people have either taken away from or added to the scriptures. The challenge, then, is to restore the scriptures to the churches in the way they were written and intended. II Peter 1:19-21 "And we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation. For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit." (ASV) This means we do not have more than one interpretation for any Bible passage. This being said, we need not look very deep into the Bible for hidden, spiritual, meaning. We need to let the Bible speak for itself whether the particular passage has a literal or a figurative meaning. Yes, you can (with practice) understand the Bible.
