Objective
I am first interested in preaching the word of God that saves souls. I am also interested in the fellowship of the brotherhood (the Church) without which the Kingdom of God would not exist on earth. I am interested in being true to the Restoration of the Bible to the church of Christ. I am presently available for full or part time, fill-in or permanent.
Summary
I have recent experience preaching, ministering and working with a church, full time. I have previously worked with a church planter. When we apply Biblical principles to evangelism, we will see the type of church growth we really want. Someone plants the seed and someone waters but God gives the increase.
I have completed a Bachelors Degree Bible program. In addition to my full time preaching experience I also have experience fill in, preaching and teaching the Bible. I am experienced and hold a full time job as a licensed A&P (aircraft mechanic) and a company NDT (nondestructive testing) Level III.
Experience
Church: I have experience preaching, teaching and ministering with the small congregation of the Community Christian Church of Christ Roanoke, VA on a full time basis while working a full time outside job. I actively participated in outreach to the community around the church. I participated in all aspects of the church including teaching, preaching, serving, visiting and leading. I have, previously, filled in part time at the Dagsboro, DE Church of Christ, working with the elders there, where I was ordained to the ministry. I have also filled in on occasion at other churches. I have taught Bible School for both young readers and adults. I have taught VBS on occasion. I have lead the Sunday morning services and the Wednesday night services. I have written articles and papers and have an article published in the Restoration Herald. I am continuing to seek fill-in preaching and teaching the Bible and writing. Experience
Professional: I am a licensed aircraft airframe and powerplant mechanic and a nondestructive testing Level III inspector. I am currently working full time with the US Airways subsidiary Piedmont Airlines at the Roanoke airport as an aircraft inspector. I have been in charge of Piedmont Airlines nondestructive testing for a number of years. I have taught others NDT inspection at Piedmont Airlines. I have been at Piedmont Airlines since Nov. '82. I have several articles published in a trade magazine.
Education
I have attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Bible Correspondence from the Christian Bible Institute of the Christian Restoration Association in Cincinnati, OH in Dec. 1994. I finished the four-year "Ministerial" training course under the direction of Norval Campbell. I am continuing to take Bible courses part time. I graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics with an Associate Degree and an A&P License in 1975. I have been trained in nondestructive testing.
