Weighing in on Islam!

I hope it is not hard for you to recognize the good from the evil. While we, here in this country of the USA, condemn the radical Islamic movement that now wraps the globe, those of this radical Islamic religious group condemn us for, among other things, our religion and our freedom. While they make a good point that we often wallow in our debauchery, we have the freedom to choose to do so or not to do so. We believe that God gave us free will to make that choice. After reading an article in the latest Restoration Herald, put out by the Christian Restoration Association (see links page), (the May 07 issue) about "Islam's Dhimma and Christianity in America" by Richard Hostetter, I was reminded (I've known for some time) that; 1.The Islamic religion is abhorrent, paganistic, filled with lies, often brutal, always prejudiced, totalitarian and tyrannical in governmental form, always demeaning toward woman, always sectarian, never allowing the same freedoms we have in this country, always against Christianity and Christians among many other descriptive terms. 2. The Islamic religion is incompatible with Christianity in any form be it, the so called, moderate or fanatical radical. 3. We cannot tolerate the growth of Islam in the USA for long without either giving-in to them or fighting them on our own ground. Islam , though, can be fought without the weapons of this life. We should not need guns and military might to fight Islam. What it does take is a consistent  witness of committed Christians unrelenting in their pursuit of saving more souls. What the Muslims see is a divided Christianity and a country that is crumbling of moral decay, from within . To name a few issues; the television is constantly teaching us their doctrine of liberalism, moral and spiritual relativism (sometimes called postmodernism) and  existentialism. I have also heard the term "Marxism" thrown around from time to time as well as eastern mysticism. The public schools have thrown God out years ago. Now our children suffer under secular and atheistic teaching. The lie of evolution is the only study of this earth's beginning most students hear, under the guise of "science." All these, and other isms that I did not name, are undermining this country's witness as a Christian country, if we have ever really had a witness as a Christian country. I shudder to think that God may be bringing these recent events of the past 5-6 years (the attacks and the war among other things) on us to discipline us. He doesn't discipline those who are not His but he does discipline those who are His. I recently heard a sermon by a famous preacher that said "What is your goal in life?" He explained that it wasn't the earthly goal he was talking about, it was the spiritual goal of saving souls and growing the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. It seems we have lost sight of the goal that Jesus wanted us to pursue. He said "Go and make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit..." He didn't say we are in charge now and whatever we (pastors and preachers) dictate in the church is what we should do. That is what is being done and why we have such a mess in this great country of free will and abundant choice. Jesus prefaced the statement, above, with, "I have been given all authority..." We have not been given any
